Join me for a relaxing afternoon of mindful marbling techniques at the fabulous Pear Mill Vintage Emporium, Stockport. This is a beginner’s session, and doesn’t involve a pottery wheel or firing! It’s designed to be super accessible, fun and experimental.
We’ll be creating gorgeous ceramic accessories from scratch using polymer clay, moulds and paints/dyes. Think vases, pots, trinket trays and candle holders.
Using traditional marbling techniques which I’ve tweaked to enable you to complete two small items, I’ll show you how to mix and manipulate coloured clays to achieve different marbled effects… which you can take home at the end of the day.
Our aim will be to complete two small projects, which will be partially dry at the end of the afternoon. I’ll provide you with a container in which to safely transport your marbled pieces, which you’ll allow to completely dry at home. I advise leaving them for around 18 hours.
Suitable for individual or group bookings (max 6).
All arts and crafts materials supplied. Just bring yourself and wear clothes which you don’t mind getting mucky in. Painting with clay can be a messy business!
A choice of tea, fresh coffee and delicious array of teatime treats provided!
