Join me for a day of creativity, relaxation and fun at my first Metallics Masterclass workshop at the fabulous Pomalo, Pembury Hall, Tunbridge Wells.
Learn the art of distressed gilding and metallic foiling techniques on a variety of thrifted items, including picture frames, ceramics, ornaments and lamp bases.
Transform everyday items
I’ll work with you to prep, paint and metamorphosise your very own vintage home accessories using my curated collection of Metallic Skinz… which you can take home at the end of the day. Or bring your own items to work on.
Suitable for enthusiastic, hands-on beginners and/or those of you who are already keen up-cyclers, workshop attendees will learn about the products and methods I use to create my trademark “faded glamour”!
Using a carefully selected mix of painting, distressing, gold leafing and metallic skins/foiling techniques, this is the chance to create the one-off, antiqued finishes I love to employ in my own home and commissions.
The venue…
This special day will be hosted at the inspiring events space, Pomalo, Pembury Hall, a rural idyll in the Kent countryside just 40 minutes from London. Guests will be creating metallic magic in Pomalo’s light-filled, Skandi-luxe surrounds, and will also be treated to a delicious seasonal organic buffet as part of the day’s experience.
Small class sizes…
Groups are small – up to 8 maximum to ensure my guests get plenty of one-to-one assistance and time for chats.
All paints and materials supplied, although there will be opportunities to purchase additional products to take home with you for future projects.
Please note, I provide items to work on during the day, but those of you who want to bring along your own piece along, please do so! Just send me a snap of what you want to bring, and I’ll confirm if it’s a suitable project for the day. Items which are suitable include:
- Small vintage side tables
- Ornate / carved picture frames or mirrors
- Large vases or lamp bases
- Decorative serving trays, ceramic ware
