MASSIVE thanks to my dear friend mark @wearethepull for creating my first professional video to showcase my little business 🙏🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

He chopped it into a few bite sized chunks of around a minute or so each, with an Intro, my inspo and influences, followed by sections on Commissions and Workshops.

It was such a joy shooting this with Mark 🫶🏽 firstly because he’s an old and dear friend, but also because he’s a creative powerhouse with a talent for creating natural, empathetic footage which captures the heart and soul of people and their businesses.

I knew I’d finally made it when I was spotted on a big screen at Southwaite M6 services in Scotland 🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩

Then my mate @karen_barlow forwarded a text from her daughter, Amber, with a screen munch of my massive mug on the telly at David Lloyd Trafford, with the deadpan question: “Why is Sarah on Tv?” 🤣🤣🤣

Why not eh?!!! 🤣🤣

HUGE commission wardrobe - armoire !! What a massive undertaking!!!

I used decoupage, paint by @buntyspaints with my metallic foil in Aged Gold (available on my website) and these fabulous wood beading strips which I’ll be stocking very soon because I bloody love em!!

There’s no way I could style up this biggun for the grid, so instead I’ve thrown together a fun reel for your viewing pleasure 🤣 Created @renewgreatermanchester

My Golden Boy!🫶🏽👋🏽

Archie on the grid, tasked with modelling my newly revamped spare bedroom 🫶🏽

Ad: I used @mlpaints Taupe on the walls and woodwork. a velvety matte, warm beige to allow the golden tones elsewhere to sing! Went on like a dream…

The textured artwork is something I knocked up to work in the space.

It’s a crude expression of how a person can feel trapped or imprisoned in their own life. Even a seemingly gilded one.

I hesitate to get philosophical on you, but I think it’s a universal theme which resonates with many at different times in their lives?

My rocky mental health journey in relation to parenting a child, now adult, with profound special needs is not a subject I dwell on much.

Both a blessing, a gift, and a sadness, Archie is my muse and my Achilles heel.

He looks like an angel boy in my gleaming room!! I paid him a tenner for his work 🤩

Metallic grasscloth wall covering is New Gold Sisal by @sketchtwenty3 and I absolutely adore it!!!
